Supporting Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) at an OAP level

This course will be delivered on demand, face to face, to whole school staff, as requested, as well as once online.

In this course you will be introduced to Section Two of the Buckinghamshire Ordinarily Available Provision (OAP) document and how to implement strategies to support social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs in the classroom.

Learning Objectives:

  • To know how to assess SEMH needs to help staff understand the barriers to learning that pupils face.
  • To know how to make reasonable adjustments to differentiate for SEMH in the same way that we differentiate for learning.
  • To develop an awareness of whole school approaches to promote wellbeing and resilience.

Speakers:

Hayley Baverstock, Fiona Downing and Matthew Sharpe
