An Introduction to Understanding Social Interactions

This course aims to introduce educators and support staff to tools such as social cartooning and social scripts which can be used to support pupils’ social development.

Learning Objectives:

To develop an understanding of the common social challenges experienced by students with SEND.
To learn how to use social cartooning and social scripts to support students with their understanding and interpretation of the social environment including looking at what people might be feeling, their intentions as well as reading social cues and social problem-solving.
